WebMay 7, 2007 · IIRC you want to remove the cables from the bell cranks, take all the adjustment out of the bell cranks, then adjust the star wheel in the drum, you adjust the star well through a hole on the outboard face of the rotor that has a rubber plug, give a little more room than the FSM calls for, then adjust the bell cranks until the slop is taken up … WebJan 17, 2008 · On the 3FE the space between the metal crimp and the red stopper should be .5-1mm according to the FSM. When I adjusted mine and finally found the sweet spot it was more like 2mm so I would recomend setting it to 1mm and then using trial and error until it feels "right". 91 FJ80 - completely stock (for now) working on getting all the PM done

WebNov 9, 2024 · I just did this adjustment the other day. what you need to do is adjust the "star adjuster" until you can't turn the rotor, then back off the star 8 notches. To check if you did it right, get inside your truck and pull up on the brake handle, you should get 7 to 9 clicks before it gets hard to pull. cstring wstring string
