The leaseholder will be acquiring the freehold under the Leasehold Reform Act 1967 and the lender that has a charge over the leasehold will also be lending for the purposes of acquiring the freehold. WebI bought a leasehold property and pay over £1,000 per year service charge. I assumed that freehold wouldn't have charges like this, because, well, you own the house and the land it sits on. It's your responsibility to maintain it. I don't quite understand how there's still a management company involved when it's a freehold property.
